We are a 15 minute walk for the city centre - 10 minute walk or a short taxi ride for the station and within walking distance of York Racecourse. Local buses pass the Guest Accommodation every 10 minutes to the city centre.

York Minster

The largest railway museum in the world, with almost 1 million visitors per year. It’s only a 10 minute walk from Holgate Bridge and admission is free!

The Yorkshire Marathon (October)
The most exciting new running event to hit the UK in 2013 arrives in the White Rose County in October. The highly-anticipated Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon takes runners through the beautiful medieval City of York and its picture perfect countryside in the county's biggest marathon.

Illuminating York
Illuminating York is one of York’s biggest annual events, last year attracting more than 60,000 visitors. Over the past six years the festival has presented specially commissioned digital artworks on several of the city’s historic buildings (including York Minster, the Yorkshire Museum and the Bar Walls), celebrating York’s unique architecture and bringing internationally renowned artists to the city centre for thousands to enjoy.

St. Nicholas Fayre (November)
St Nicholas Fayre is one of the most popular Christmas markets in the UK, with thousands of visitors coming to York over the four-day event. The Fayre offers a range of markets specialising in gifts, crafts, and the very best in local farm produce. Carol singers and buskers flock to the city to perform over the weekend to thousands of festive shoppers.
